We treat personal data confidentially and process it only insofar as this is necessary to operate the website, communicate with you or plan a trip you have enquired about.
3. Accessing the website and server log data
When you access the website, the technical hosting provider may process, in particular, your IP address, date and time, page accessed, referrer, browser type and operating system in server log files. This processing serves to provide the website securely and without technical errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure website.
4. Safari enquiry and contacting us
When you submit the enquiry form, the information you enter is transmitted to TanzaniX through the website’s technical form function. We process this information to handle your enquiry, respond to follow-up questions and – if requested – prepare a travel proposal. The same applies if you contact us by email or telephone.
We use Brevo as the service provider for the technical transmission. The form details are transferred to Brevo so that the enquiry can be delivered to us by email. For further information, please see Brevo’s Privacy Policy.
To protect the form from automated abuse, we temporarily use pseudonymised verification keys derived from the IP address and email address. The enquiry content itself is not stored in a database for this purpose.
Processing is carried out in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract or on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We retain the data only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and comply with statutory retention obligations.
5. Cookies, analytics and embedded services
This website currently does not use analytics or marketing services and does not embed Google Maps or social media widgets. Technically necessary functions can be provided without creating a personal user profile.
6. External links and social media
The website contains standard links to Instagram, TikTok and Facebook only. You leave this website only when you open one of these links. From that point onwards, the privacy policies of the respective provider apply; data may also be processed outside the European Union.
7. Processing in Tanzania
As TanzaniX operates in Tanzania, data from a travel enquiry may be processed there. Tanzania is outside the European Union and the European Economic Area. When transferring data, we comply with the applicable data protection requirements.
